COVID-19 Information

Updated April 2022

For the safety of our patients, staff and community, at this time, masks are required in our facility.

OSSC’s policy for “asymptomatic” patients with a positive Covid-19 test result still dictates a deferral of surgery for 14 days following the positive test.

In December of 2021, the CDC shortened the recommended time for isolation to 5 days followed by 5 days of wearing a mask around others. This was specifically indicated for asymptomatic subjects and for those Covid-19 positive subjects with improving symptoms when symptomatic.

If a patient was “asymptomatic”, surgery can be scheduled following the 10 days of isolation and masking. If the patient was “symptomatic”, we would recommend rescheduling a minimum of 14 days after the positive test.

Visitation is currently limited to one person per patient. All visitors must wear a mask while inside the facility.
